The Branch agm was convened in Kilkenny on 3rd May last.

The new CEO/General Secretary introduced himself and presented the General Secretary's overview for the previous 12 months.

An update on developments across the Food Industry was provided.  Comparative pay developments were outlined - the settlement norm across the industry in 2018 is in the +2.0% to +2.5% range.

Pension Scheme issues were discussed and the nomination of replacement Trustees decided.

Highlighted that the recruitment of new members was essential to replace natural attrition through retirement, etc.  The more representative the DEA is in Glanbia, the greater the positive bargaining impact we can have and the greater the protection we can provide for our Members against any unfair treatment.
